Springboard Media Ltd is a UK based independent music company covering recording, publishing, promotion, and production services. It’s rationale is to bring you quality contemporary music at a fair price from a combination of experienced and new talent.
It currently has five artistes signed to the label, three UK based, one Australian, and one from the Philippines, covering blues, rock, folk, country-rock, and pop.
We record in one of the top studios in the UK, “Room With A View”, with our experienced Producer Dave Christopher working alongside its owner and Engineer, the well-known musician Stephen Darrell-Smith.
Sales are through this web site by secure Credit Card purchasing, UK retail outlets, and our artistes’ ‘live’ performances. Overseas retail outlet sales are achieved through licence and distribution arrangements with other record labels, currently covering Holland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and South Korea.
Since our launch in late 1999, our Marketing Director Anthea Green has established significant radio airplay for our artistes across regional and national stations in the UK, and internationally including Ireland, Germany, Holland, Italy, Spain, the USA, Australia, South Korea, the Philippines, Uruguay, Yugoslavia and Hong Kong, plus most of Europe via satellite radio.
Magazine reviews include the UK’s Southern Country, Mojo, Linedancer, ‘Q’, and Country Music and More. UK television appearances by our artiste Jon Dean Foster followed his 2001 ‘UK Country Rock Album of the Year’ award for the debut album ‘Born Survivor’, the title single from which was re-mixed in Nashville USA for the USA radio market, enjoying cross-state airplay during 2002.
Our credibility and our commitment to targetted promotion has led to our promotion services being used by other artistes and labels since 2002.

Album of the Month |
BBC Radio Solent's own heart-throb has recorded his debut album. You Never Can Tell is a collection of popular hits sung by Richard in a style which features the full character of his rich distinctive voice, together with a band full of top musicians. The songs were hand-picked by Richard especially to include tracks originally recorded by some of his favourite artistes. Richard will be appearing at HMV Southampton on Monday 2nd August at 5pm, HMV Portsmouth Tuesday 3rd August at 5.30pm and HMV Bournemouth Wednesday 4th August at 5.30pm. Come and meet Richard and get your album signed. Richard is also releasing a single in aid of BBC Children In Need. The single is called I've Found Love Again and will be released on September the 13th. The catalogue number is SMCDSRC001 and will be available on pre-order from September 1st at all good record stores.
