Colleen is self-willed!
She has a breathtaking voice and an
impressive piano style. She writes a large part of her lyrics and
music by herself and she’s good at it. She is terrific! Half way through
2001 her debut album, Chameleon, and a single sharing this name,
appeared. Both the album and the single were widely applauded.
Colleen’s talents are not as of yet recognized by radio and TV but
has received many praising reviews and interviews in major
magazines like OOR, Algemeen Dagblad, LiveXS, Noord-Hollands Dagblad,
Flair, Utrechts Nieuwsblad and Music Maker. In spite of this, she
claimed a high place in the top 10 of The Box Charts for several weeks
in a row with the video of Chameleon, so it is clear that the press and
the audience do understand her music. In the meantime Colleen’s
single, titled Chameleon has been presented to National and regional
radio in the UK, and is due to receive airplay on The Jonathan Ross
Show, The Janice Long Show and The Alex Lester Show. Colleen
is versatile and this is the main reason for calling her album
Chameleon. She is now performing all across Holland. Colleen feels like
a fish in the water performing on her own with a piano as well as in a
trio, with a guitar player and a double-bass player, or with a
five-piece band supporting her. This versatile lady holds her own! |
