| You've gone to the time and the expense to produce your recorded work, so what are you going to do with it now? One of the hardest things for artists to achieve is major radio airplay both national and regional. It doesn't even matter if you are famous or not. Without the right contacts it is virtually impossible to get your music heard. Springboard Promotions was set up initially to achieve this goal for artistes signed to its own record label which is Springboard Media Ltd. We have built up a large data base of Heads Of Music and influential radio DJ's and have achieved major airplay for our artistes, including spins on the UK's BBC Radio 2 being Terry Wogan, (Wake Up With Wogan) Johnnie Walker, (Drivetime Show) Bob Harris, (Country Show) and Paul Jones (Blues Show). Our success rate with regional airplay is consistently high with an average of 65% of stations serviced with our products playlisting either selected tracks or full albums. We have also managed to gain our artistes radio interviews and television. Of course the product has to be of a certain quality and standard. Springboard Promotions are able to offer this service for you, but we will not promote anything that we do not feel is suitable for the market in which we operate. If we feel that we will be able to achieve similar results with your product then we will be fully committed to promoting your work to the best of our ability. The promotion period for regional radio is six weeks from the agreed starting date. It is up to you the customer to ensure that the required number of CD's are delivered to us one week prior to the start date. Within that six weeks we will fully service your album or single to the right people. Most promotion companies will make a follow up call twice. If after this they have no reaction they will then abandon any further promotion. We will make at least five follow up calls to check that your work is receiving the attention it deserves. We will design airplay reports which are sent out with all albums and singles and provide you with feedback. The promotion period for national radio is much longer as certain things have to be done at the correct times for your work to be considered for playlisting, single of the week or album of the week. The normal period is eight to ten weeks. Any album or single presented to national radio must have a genuine release date. We can advise you how to go about this. Why would you want to go through all this? There is revenue to be earned by artistes for airplay. Depending on how much airplay you receive the amount could be substantial. We can help you register your songs with the relevant societies, collection agencies and guide you through the mountain of paperwork that this can involve to enable you to receive any payments that are due to you. We can also advise on publishing rights and our music publishing company Springboard Music deals with this side of the business which is often overlooked and also a source of revenue. Of course press coverage is also very important. You might have the best record in the world but if nobody has written about it radio can overlook its potential. We are also able to offer a way for your work to be fully serviced to the press and major music publications. We cannot guarantee what the reviewers will say so you have to be prepared to take the knocks as well as the acclaim. We have already achieved reviews and articles in Q, MoJo" Trad Music Maker, Folk Roots, Country Music International, Country Music & More, Linedancer, Southern Country and many more besides including regional and national papers.
